A few weeks ago, I had the honor and privilege to photograph my cousins wedding. It was also my privilege to have done so on THE hottest day of the year….. Boy, was it hot! (110º when all was said and done)
Their day began separately. Maegan at her parents home, Will in the home they share. Despite the excessive heat the morning went smoothly; the boys goofing around and having fun together and the girls hurrying about helping Maegan prep for the ceremony. When all ties were tied and make-up and curls attended to, we headed to Fish Pond West for the ceremony.
The ceremony was nice, and thankfully under the shade of an awning. Fans up and down the aisle helped to cool the guests but there was no escaping the blistering heat. With their “I Do’s” proclaimed and a first kiss as husband and wife given, we headed off to take their formals before the festivities began.
If the seemingly never vacant dance floor was any sort of indication….their reception was amazing! Everyone, young and old seemed to have had a fabulous time. I am so happy I was able to capture their memories and personally share in this most special day along with them. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness
