Once I heard where Lisa and Jamie’s wedding was taking place, I knew that I had to make this happen. Meeting with the couple cemented the fact that we were going to make a great film with their help and wonderful enthusiasm.
For anyone who is a baseball fan, especially a Philadelphia Phillies fan, you would have loved every minute of their day. Both bride and groom love the Phillies and they tried to incorporate anything they could of their favorite team into their wedding day. They got ready in a locker room, their first meet was along first base, the formals were on and in the dugout as well as the Phillies locker room, the ceremony was in the Hall of Fame Club, and their reception was in the Diamond Club. They even had Dan Baker, the Phillies and Eagles public address announcer, announce them for their introductions. Oh, and of course the Phanatic made a cameo and made the reception go crazy.
This was no question one of the most surreal weddings I have ever been a part of. After dozens of trips to the stadium as a fan, nothing compares to being able to enjoy the entire stadium inside and out with such passionate families. I believe this film captures the amazing energy we captured as we participated in a true baseball lovers dream wedding. I want to thank Lisa and Jamie again for allowing Bar None to be a part of it.
