The classic ‘right place, wrong time’ best describes how the story began. Joe and Kristen were both coaching at the same high school, and crossed paths everyday for four months. A coaching friend of Kristen’s (sneakily, without permission), suggested Joe take Kristen on a date. He kindly declined since he was taken, but the story was far from over.
Fast forward a year. Joe began coaching at a new school, and Kristen, unknowingly, landed a new job teaching at that same school. A co-worker put 2 and 2 together one day and brought it to Kristen’s attention that she might know the new lacrosse coach who, conveniently, was now single. Using the most cliche pick up line, Joe got Kristen’s attention and never let it go.
They went on their first date on April 1, 2017 and have been together every day since. They share a love of sports, travel, family, and most importantly, their dog Lulu.
