Liz and Ricky met on OkCupid the summer of 2013. They first bonded over their shared love for author Chuck Palahniuk. She thought he was cute and funny, he thought she was out of his league. After a week of texting, they agreed to meet in person for a beer. That first date lasted hours. Before they knew it, it was 1 am and Ricky had to go because he had to wake up early the next day to go to the track with his Dad. Even though it was a great first date, Liz wondered if they would see each other again. Then Ricky texted her a long paragraph about skunks in his neighborhood. And it made her laugh. A year later they were moving in together. And 4 1/2 years after that on Valentines day in their first apartment together (and with a little help from their dog), Ricky got down on one knee and asked Liz to be his wife. She could hardly say yes fast enough through the tears of joy.
