Elle and Jerry’s locations were in Bryn Mawr for the ceremony and Center City Philly at the Colonial Dames on Latimer St for the reception. Our favorite perhaps though was Elle’s parents house for bridal prep. What a cool house in a really neat old neighborhood. The front is featured in the beginning of the film as well as the backyard for the scene where Jerry sees Elle for the first time on their wedding day!
For entertainment, inside we were very minimal as the Dames is a pristine colonial building that didn’t lend itself to much in terms of lighting. (The best lighting techs know when not to overdo it!) Just two tiny pinspots on the cake. Outside we undertook the hanging of oriental lanterns criss crossing the courtyard. This was quite the project, but in the end set a fabulous mood outside that we hope the guests enjoyed.
