Tara and Joe – Wedding at the Villa at Mountain Lakes

Tara and Joe hired us last year to photograph and film their wedding this past fall. I was quite excited because their wedding was in New Jersey and I love New Jersey weddings. They both got ready in Fair Lawn, NJ before heading to Saint Anne’s Church which was also in Fair Lawn, NJ. After their beautiful, heartfelt ceremony, we made our way to Radburn Park for their creative shoot. Unfortunately by this time, it was raining quite a bit. Luckily they brought some umbrellas. There was also a tunnel in which we were able to use for some unique rainy day wedding photos. Their reception was about 40 minutes away, at the Villa at Mountain Lakes. Boy, do their families know how to party! They had an awesome Irish Band that kept the crowd entertained and the dance floor full for the entire evening. Amber and Cory at the Glasbern Inn

I’ve been waiting for this wedding for quite some time. I haven’t photographed at the Glasbern Inn before, and when I met Amber and her mother for their walk-through a few weeks prior to their wedding I was really excited for the opportunity to do so. Their whole day took place at Glasbern. Amber got ready in a suite at the Packhouse, while Cory was at the Stable House. Before the ceremony I took a few fun photos with the girls. Boy, were they entertaining to be with. As the sun was getting lower in the sky, they held their ceremony outside on the lawn. It was one of the prettiest ceremony sites that I’ve been to. Once the family formals were over, we got lucky to catch the sun setting over the hills. Then it was time to party and none better then the band UUU with their high energy to make that happen. The day was absolutely perfect. I had so much fun with Amber, Cory and their family and friends. I wish them the best!

Our pianist Ashley Smith has been playing the piano for over twenty years. She has extensive experience accompanying both soloists and choral groups and has some background in classical, jazz, and contemporary piano performance. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Susquehanna University and is currently in her 7th year of teaching instrumental music. She is available for ceremonies, cocktail hours and dinner service!
