Alissa and Doug at Shawnee Inn Engagement

After getting to know them, I am so excited already to photograph Alissa and Doug’s wedding day next fall at Shawnee Inn. But for now, I was more than happy to capture the engagement celebration between these two.

This would be the first time I’ve been to the Shawnee Inn and I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as scenery and photo opportunities. I had nothing to worry about. I already knew the couple would make for some great photos, but to my pleasant surprise, there were numerous beautiful scenes for us at Shawnee Inn. So many, that we didn’t even use them all. We’ll save some for the wedding!

The Day of the photoshoot was a chilly, windy day, but we persevered. These two were troopers and even though they were a bit cold, they knew how to model… or it came off that way! It was easy to get great shots because the love they had for each other was obvious and that came through to create great photos.

Brittany and David at Bear Creek

Brittany and David are such a cute couple. I was hired last fall to be their photographer for both their engagement shoot and wedding. Now, I’m a huge Eagles fan, but they are such a cute couple that you can forgive them for being Steelers fans! Actually since their wedding, the Steelers have been on a roll with Big Ben making QB history with 12 touchdowns in two games. Maybe every so often they should renew their vows to ensure the Steelers a good season. So their wedding took place at the beautiful Bear Creek Mountain Resort. It was a perfect fall day and it lent itself to a touching first look by the pond. We then went right into a blue sky accented ceremony at the Woodland Ballroom site. Afterwards we took a few formals before heading into the reception for a night of fun! The night came to an end with all their family and friends watching the “Same Day Edit” from the day, which was also produced by Bar None!

Erin and Kevin’s day was such a pleasure to photograph. I was able to photograph Erin in the comfort of her childhood home, then I was stunned by the gorgeous Chestnut Hill Church in Coopersburg. It only got better when we arrived at Saucon Valley Acres for their reception, where they had several surprises to kept their guests entertained throughout the evening. We had a guest Karaoke Singer, whom they love to hear sing at the Copperhead Grill, that Erin and Kevin asked to perform for them. We even had Erin sing the song “At Last” to Kevin near the end of the reception. The guests went wild! I had a huge smile on my face the whole time, and I’m truly thankful that Erin and Kevin decided to have Bar None photograph their fun, memorable day.

Let me start off by saying, I love weddings at rustic barns!! I sure was excited to be the photographer for the wedding of Justin and Paige a few weeks ago. I had done their Engagement Photos last fall, so on their wedding day they were naturals in front of the camera. Everything about their day was perfect. The Barn was awesome, the Bed & Breakfast they stayed at on premise was really cute. Then an outdoor ceremony under a perfect sky for a super nice couple was the topping on the cake. I had a lot of fun being their wedding photographer. Thank You for giving me the honor to be there for a very important day of your lives.

Few of the couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing have been as sweet and gentle as our most recent couple, Gia and Justin. They had their beautiful wedding at DeSales University from start to finish, and it was nothing short of spectacular. While we had the season working against us with an inconveniently early sunset, we made some stunning silhouettes against the stained glass of the church, and enjoyed some comfy moments near the university fireplace. I think we captured some beautiful memories, and wish Gia and Justin all the best in their endeavors as husband and wife!

Nadia and Jeff hired me for my last wedding at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn for this wedding season. What a wedding it was!! Jeff and the guys decided to do something unique to me on his wedding day. They chose to do a little Go-Karting before he walked down the aisle. They seemed to have a blast!! While the boys were goofing around, the ladies were getting all pretty at the Stroudsmoor Spa and Salon. Once everyone was dressed and ready to go, we headed across the way to the Ridgecrest ceremony site. For my last wedding there this season, it may have been my prettiest sunset ceremony. The colors were gorgeous!! After the ceremony was over, we headed in to start the fun!! Boy could this group dance. They hardly left the dance floor all night. Jena and Joshua at Bear Creek Mountain Resort

A few weeks ago, I was the photographer for the lovely Jena and Joshua’s wedding at Bear Creek, where they held their celebration from start to finish. Alas, there were unfortunate weather circumstances, but that just made us push our creativity to the brink! Despite the rainy day, we came out with some great portraits indoors and under various coverings. We spent the whole day laughing, smiling, and having fun with their wonderful friends and family, and Jena and Joshua seemed to have a blast! It was very much a perfect candlelit evening, and these are just a few of the best shots we got from the night.

Here are some tips for attending bridal shows:

Get there early! There will be a line to get in. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water for yourself.

Come with your entourage! No seriously…. Bring your MOH or mother. Anyone to come with you to help you process all the information you’re going to get. It’s really an information overload at Bridal Shows. There is ALOT to take in and it helps to have someone with you to parse through the information.

Don’t leave out the Groom! We love meeting Grooms at Bridal Shows, remember it’s the biggest day of his life as well.

Plan to attend two bridal shows. Your first show concentrate on walking around and gathering all the info you can. Consider your first a learning experience. Step back and take it all in. Your second show, come with a plan and be ready to set consultations. We suggest the upcoming Sands Bridal Extravaganza!

Christine & Filipe – Hotel Bethlehem

A few days ago I was privileged to be the filmmaker for Christine and Filipe. They hired Bar None for their Film, Photography and DJ services and chose to have us create a highlight film and show it at the end of their reception. The day was perfect and the couple was so sweet! They held their ceremony at the Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem. Its one of the oldest churches in the valley and was built around 1741. Its an adorable little chapel and was a prefect fit for Christine and Filipe. After the ceremony, we headed down around monocacy creek to take some photos and captured some film footage. They held their reception at Hotel Bethlehem, which of course never disappoints. After a night of dancing with family and friends, Christine and Filipe got to recapture their wedding day all over again.

Christina & Robert at Woodstone Country Club

Christina and Robert were such a fun couple to be with! They both have such a kind, easy-going spirit. Christina was such a calm bride and really seemed to enjoyed her special day. Robert was just “one of the guys” and very easy to work with. Not much for dancing though. Christina and Robert got married a few weeks ago at Woodstone Country Club. They had their ceremony in the beautiful lodge and then their reception in the wedding hall. Robert is a fireman in Northampton, so he was able to bring an antique fire truck along with two of the trucks they use when saving lives. Boy was I lucky!! I was able to get pretty creative with them. I really enjoyed being part of their wedding day! Below are a few of my favorite photos from throughout the day.
