Having the experience to film such an amazing wedding in a stunning setting like California’s wine country is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Ever since I met Marissa and Jason in Italy a couple years ago, I knew they were special people.

They will tell you that it was not love at first sight for this couple, but that would be hard to believe. After getting to experience their warmth abroad, their resilience to the cold on a windy August sunset at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and the genuine love and compassion they have for their family and friends, I would bet anything that they were destined.

The result is one of my favorite films I have ever worked on for one of my favorite couples. I wish them nothing but happiness and success in everything they do, and a long and fruitful marriage that started on this perfect September day in California.

This was without a doubt one of the absolute best couples, best weddings, and best experiences of my career! Maui is a magical place and it came through in every facet of the wedding day.

The Royal Lahaina Resort overlooking the pacific ocean made the seaside ceremony electric and all the more heartwarming. The vows and toasts were heartfelt and hilarious and you could feel the energy and love of the two families as they spoke. Of course, the Luau was the perfect way to end the night after a beautiful Hawaii sunset.

Not every wedding filmmaker gets the good luck to film in Hawaii, and certainly not a wedding with a more perfect couple as they start their journey into marriage. I want to thank Cory and Jenna from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity and the genuine hospitality, and I am personally hoping for them to tie their families record of 68 years of marriage.

Eric & Daniela met on Feb 16, 2013 in Baltimore, MD. Daniela was out celebrating her 26th birthday with her sisters and friends when Eric came over to introduce himself. It wasn’t long before Eric was twirling Daniela around on the dance floor. After that night, Eric & Daniela were inseparable.

They spent her actual birthday, two days later together, which would also end up being their first real date. Eric surprised Daniela with a Costco-sized tub of peanut butter – one of her favorite foods which Eric found out the night before. For the next three months, Eric & Daniela enjoyed their time together in Baltimore as Eric finished up his final optometry rotation.

Come May, Eric was packing up to move back to Nazareth, PA. It only took 7 months of a long distance relationship for the two to decide the distance was too much. It was time for a big change! That is when Daniela packed up her bags and her life in Baltimore, a place she called home for 8 years, and moved to Macungie, PA.

Since that move, they both began jobs that they love, they bought a house, and they got ENGAGED! The past few years have been full of laughter, adventure, and love and the two of them are excited to see where this new chapter in life takes them.

Sarah and Anthony contacted us very late in the planning process due to an unfortunate situation with another vendor. When Sarah told us about the wedding being in Cape May, NJ we we thrilled that we were the ones who were given the opportunity. I told them that I was sorry about the way their planning worked out, but that I had hoped to make this series of events something they would look fondly at as an opportunity to love their wedding film.

I am happy to say that the day went perfectly and I believe we were able to deliver on that hope. Congress Hall was glowing in a perfect November day at the beach. After the first look we had an opportunity to capture film both on the beach and the wonderful beach town. By the time the reception was over, the band had rocked the whole party and everyone left energized at the promise this new family brings.

Heather and Michael invited us to shoot Film, Photography and DJ their Cruise Vacation Destination wedding to Bermuda. What a pleasure! Destination weddings aren’t for everyone, but for those with an adventurous streak they are an absolute blast and stunningly gorgeous. It’s not surprising that it’s one of the best parts of our job when we get to travel with awesome people.

Veronica and Jody invited Bar None to provide both their photography and film services for their destination wedding to the great Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica. What an absolute delight is was to join them on this beautiful wedding in this perfect resort. The weather was amazing, the food was so good and the staff was incredibly accommodating.

It quickly began to feel like we were part of their new family as we experienced all of the perfect, funny, touching, and happy moments of their wedding day. Showing the film and photos at their local reception at the Event Center at Blue in Easton, PA was the icing on the cupcake, as we got to experience this once in a lifetime trip one more time with Veronica , Jody, and their wonderful family.

What an amazing site the Niagra Falls National Park is, to spend a day just standing next to the stunningly massive waterfalls and watching the endless water flow into a seemingly “another world” valley where the water sits comparatively still as the birds circle peacefully. Well, bookending our filming in Hawaii, we were given that exact gift from Deanna and Mark as they held their ceremony by the falls and later had their floor shaking reception at Monterre Vineyards in Orefield, PA.

The vineyard reception was also a perfect second act to these wonderful families new journey, with a truly heartfelt design and decor to the charming old fashioned soul of the reception festivities. I would highly recommend having this venue on your watch list if your wedding is at or under 130 people. The staff went out of their way to take care of Deanna and Mark, as well as our photography and film crews!

He says in the beginning of the film “one of the most beautiful places in the world.” I would certainly like to see the other places he is referring to as well. The Big Island in Hawaii affords visitors and locals the ability to swim with the dolphins(or manta rays) right off the beach, zip over 300 ft waterfalls on a wire, and boat right up to a volcano spewing red hot lava straight into the ocean.

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is the perfect place to enjoy the more majestic beach scene, and Lisette and Noel did just that. The stunning beachside ceremony was live-streamed to far distant friends and relatives in the Philippines, Philadelphia, and Chicago. The outdoor reception at Hoku Theater was capped by earth shaking fireworks and then, of course, this film!

It was a pleasure working with some great people as well. Brittany from the Four Seasons was extremely helpful in getting us acquainted with the large resort. Amy and Matt from Paper Swan Photography created some perfect images that we were able to steal some shots from 🙂 The DJs, Glenn Schultz & Maka Gallinger, went out of their way to accommodate us with audio recording and setting up the projector. And, of course, we would like to thank the newly married couple for letting us be a small part of their wonderful wedding day!
