Our Favorite Venues
Here are a few of our favorite venues and some thoughts on each. There are many venues that we love working at but these three in particular are right in our backyard!
Bear Creek Mountain Resort
Bear Creek is just up the street on the mountain in Macungie! We’re very familiar with it as all three of us have worked here in the past in different capacities. I was a bartender a few years and also back in the day a “liftie” during one very cold winter as a teenager. Trev was manager at the Grille for a little bit, one of the Mtn’s two restaurants. As always, very excited for our upcoming events booked at Bear Creek, including a Fall Film. (Check out “Greta and Josh”, a previous fall film at BC)
We love venues where the entire day can take place in one location. Eliminating the travel when possible really opens the whole event up. The Hotel is top notch with beautiful rooms and slopeside views. The facility has 3 locations for ceremonies and recently added major stone work in front of the lodges deck. It looks fantastic and opens up a whole area for summer formal photo sessions. The “top” ceremony location is cozy and seems more intimate but the “middle” location with the recent landscaping additions films & photographs very nicely with the mountain as backdrop. With two restaurants on the property, disc golf, hiking/biking, 2 pools and jacuzzi’s (and I’m probably forgetting some things!) your out of town guests will not get bored. The facility has two ballrooms on site and the lodge in the offseason is a 3rd with it’s giant stone fireplaces and panoramic views during summer. The show-stopper however, in our opinion is the “Mountain ballroom”. It is very large with vaulted ceilings (perfect for pinspotting centerpieces) and phenomenal winter and fall views. Just outside is a large and comfortable cocktail area and a huge deck just outside the room for guests to catch their breath when taking a break from dancing! Although excellent any season, Bear Creek is definitely our favorite fall/winter choice.

Glasbern Country Inn
We’ve only worked at the Glasbern once to film a short vignette film for our friends at Ironton Livery but we were immediately impressed with it and even since then, have visited again just to photograph for fun! The second you walk onto the property you realize the service is top notch. The grounds are AMAZING! The entire landscape explodes with spring color. No pocket or nook isn’t planted with gorgeous well thought out perennials. It almost feels like your in a foreign country with the chalets and rolling countryside. It’s truly a hidden gem in a good way. The ceremony location we saw overlooks a rolling vista. For the wedding we filmed the Livery’s carriage picking up the bride at the end of a cobblestone road at the entrance to the facility where she had her short formal photo session. Livery staff then took the bride up the hill to the ceremony location and then down to the “lodge” where the reception took place under a tent connected to the building overlooking a pond and more spectacular countryside. We can’t wait to work here again! (Stay tuned for their new website coming soon) The Glasbern Country inn is our new favorite choice for summer and spring weddings.

Hanover Grande Ballroom
We’ve shot film, Photo and provided Entertainment at the Hanover Grande. Additionally we participate in the venue’s bridal shows held 3 times a year. Another venue that combines hotel, restaurants and a large ballroom. The food at the Hanover Grande was fantastic. Conveniently located right off rt. 22, this large ballroom recently received some great upgrades including an outdoor gazebo which makes a nice on-site location for some formal photos. If your guests really like to party, the best thing about this venue is it’s on-site bar, “The Bar With No Name”. This isn’t your run of the mill hotel bar. It’s a legitimate club on weekends and your guests all receive complimentary VIP passes, therefore do not have to pay the cover to get in. We have to admit we’re a little jealous when we work an event and the entertainment crew has an hour of teardown and we hear the afterparty happening right next store! The Hanover Grande is our recommended venue for groups who want the space and amenities to have that legendary party wedding.

Here are a few other venues that in our opinion excel at specific areas:
Our favorite food (and trust us, we eat venue food every weekend!) is Iron Lakes Country Club. The most recent wedding we did had plates with steak, chicken AND crab cake. The Crab Cake was exceptionally delicious on an overall above par plate.
The best outdoor ceremony site is Shawnee Golf Resort. Outdoor vows can take place either in the Riverside pavilion or in the open right next to the Delaware surrounded by mountains and of course with the historic Inn in the background.
Most unique venue we’ve ever worked was an old completely restored private barn out near crystal cave. See the Film of the ceremony here.
Best for very large parties is Penns Peak. The “ballroom” which is actually the concert venue is gigantic, yet doesn’t feel it. While many venues in the area are on the base of a mountain, at Penns Peak your on TOP the mountain! Everything here is a on a Grand Scale even down the giant marquee which displays the couples names right next to the world famous national recording artists who perform here.
Best cozy venue for small parties is The Cosmopolitan. The new upscale anchor of Allentown’s growing restaurant district. The upper ballroom is an excellent choice for parties in our estimation >100. Possibly even a little more utilizing the balcony in the room. Check out the rooftop “Skylounge” bar!
